After the rigours of 'selection' and much deliberation, Jan & I have decided to go to Cambodia as part of a VSO initiative and have both resigned from our teaching jobs. We are currently very busy trying to sort out all the logistics of our two year placement scrounging extra garage (storage) space, rationalising goods and chattels, rearranging bank and matters financial.
We seem bombarded with various forms to complete, motor cycle training to arrange and VSO training to attend. Time available seems to be contracting rapidly with the amount we seem to have to do.
So far we have started our 'series' of vaccinations which include:
T.B, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Typhoid, Rabies, Japanese Encephalitis, (Malaria 'in country') (the red ones are those already up to date). Both of us felt a little groggy afterwards but it soon passed.
