The Final Countdown!

As you can see, "fame at last". The image is part of an article featured in the
current edition of our local paper, the Lichfield Mercury. Apologies for the photograph (please feel free to use it to keep young children from an open fire).

We are now homeless, having left Lichfield Saturday 23rd August to stay with Cliff & Jean, Jan's mum & dad, in Exeter. It sems really odd at present as if we are on 'holiday' and the fact that we have no home base to return to before our departure on Wednesday September 10th.

So far we have done a couple of seaside walks and Jan & I have cycled down the Exe (although we caught the train back to Exeter!).

We are really looking forward to September 01st when School's back for Autumn - WITHOUT US! All the best to our colleagues who climb aboard the converyor belt once again.

I saw your article in the Mercury and just wanted to say well done for taking the plunge and doing something worthwhile! My husband and I are planning our own 1 year+ expedition to do charity wildlife work by motorbike starting next year. I've been keeping my eyes peeled on the local papers to see how others have publicised themselves and done fundraising. Seeing your article gives us hope!! Best of luck, you'll have a fantastic experience.

From you dear friend from Torc, I wish you all the best mate! I look up to people like yourself - so many people go through life and don't get out there to see the world, nor do the things that they dream of. I hope everything goes great for you both -you most certainly deserve all the luck you can get, Keith! Undoubtedly I shall keep in touch, and await to hear how you get on. All the best, from your mate, Alex Barker - We Love Benzene!
